When The Past Speaks...

What would you do if you can review all that you have done in the past today? It would be a pleasure if you can recall back your sweet memories with your loved ones who have passed away already. And of course, watching back your past days might have evoked back lots of memories and bring lots of faces to your mind. But, that is if you have done good things in the past. You will experience different feelings if you did bad things in your past days. You might not want others to see the skeleton in your cupboard.

Whatever it is, let by gone be by gone, right? My teacher always said, ‘the past does not exist. The only thing that you have is today.’ People, in the Holy Quran, in Surah Al Insyirah, Allah SWT has stressed out how important it is to keep going on and to keep holding on in whatever we do, no matter how hard and how tough the obstacle is.

I know, talking is always much easier. But life’s like that. That is why we are given one mouth but 2 hands because to say something with the mouth is easier than to do something with a hand, so God gives us two hands, to make the job easier, right?

So, friends, let’s not ignore the future just because you have an unwanted past.
